7. Discussion & Comments:
Site-Walk was opened by RM. Bob Harlow stated that it is 120 feet across the width of the road. Septic is going to be located at the bottom of the stairs. It will be made of cement chambers. Location of septic will be 80’ from the water. Driveway is a deeded ROW across the Burkitt property. Tree removal will be needed. Power will go underground. Applicant is looking to have the building set back an additional 30’ from water. Approx. 40 trees will be removed. CEO and RM explain the issues of how raising the structure, moving the structure, and leaving it where it sits, all affect the calculations for 30%. By moving the structure back the 30’ they get a full foundation. Approx. 1,480 sf. of living space. Currently the structure is approx. 58’ from the road,
the closest corner is approx. 48’. High water mark was looked at. RM requesting CEO submits info. to DEP so that they can be involved at the start of this project. RM would like to work w/ them early on for guidance. Hal Ferguson: raised questions and concerns regarding tree cutting, and the 40% allowance over a 10-year period. RM: Peer review may be necessary for erosion, phosphorus, and tree removal.
